Unlike our first book, a love child born of unchecked desires, this one was a planned baby. To conceive it, we ran away to an 'erotic retreat' that lasted three days. We danced in the waves of our collective lust at a wonderful white stretch of northern California beach. Every evening the sun set like a red enamel casserole on the rim of a copper sea. The first night we stood for a long time in the dunes searching the horizon for Halley's comet. Halley never showed, but instead a great horny owl swooped silently over our heads and perched nearby in the branches of a huge black pine. He watched us for hours, hooting ardently and inspiring us to lascivious acts of creation. All the next day we wrote, and the following night amid shrieks of raucous laughter we played 'Masturbate Theater' with each Lady leaping in and improvising her own character on the spot.
